Chapin's Office and the USO Partnership

Our first Waffle Sunday with the USO and the Chaplin’s Office partnering to serve the religious community on Sigonella was a huge success.  The USO Crew baked over 300 waffles to serve to three congregations on Sunday.  Catholic Mass is always first at 9:00 AM in the Base Chapel then the Protestant congregation begins at 11:00 AM and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints begins at 1:30 PM.  There were two serving times for all congregations to meet and greet 10:30-11:30 AM and 12:00-1:00PM. All four of our missionaries  managed to make time to join us. Who doesn’t like waffles with all the trimmings, including chocolate chips, marshmallows, strawberry, boysenberry, blueberry and maple syrup?

The USO Crew.
